The J Companies, LLC, headquartered in New York City, is a builder providing construction management, general contracting, consulting and related development services. The principals’ varied experience in this market exceeds a total of 65 years. Our background in all elements of construction as formed through hands-on experience guarantees our premier value added. Our IT solution reflects our philosophy - the most efficient use of resources by bringing the most competitive sources to the table and by employing our human capital where it most counts-construction. Our servers (Exchange, applications and file) are hosted offsite in a secure hosting facility, allowing for access anytime and from any location across the country. It allows for the exchange of data and information unfettered by the inadequacies of most IT departments of firms our size. The cloud environment provides: Centralized management and configuration of operating systems, applications, and user settings using group policies; Endpoint protection including monitoring threats and alerts on any changes to resources, network access, and user accounts; and Industry-standard encryption with a platform managed key. Through the use of a virtual private network (VPN) we have deployed application software similar to that of the largest contractors in the world but make it easy to access and transmit. Thus, not only is electronic information available and transferred within an office but also from field offices and job sites.
